NNL: Anistar resumes duty as Abakaliki FC head coach

 

Starplus Izuikem Anistar has resumed duty as the new head coach of Nigeria National League, NNL, side Abakaliki FC.

The young tactician coordinated the team’s training session at the Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium in Abakaliki on Monday.

They are gearing up for their matchday encounter against Akwa United this

 weekend in Uyo.

Anistar replaced veteran tactician Ifeanyi Onyedika who was suspended following the Rice Boys poor start to the 2025-26 NNL season.

Abakaliki FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Calabar Rovers at their home ground on Sunday.

Abakaliki FC are determined to replicate their impressive performance in the President Federation Cup last year.

They lost in the final of the competition on penalities to Kwara United.
