Honourable Yekini Akinolu Felicitates with Nigerians as Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, Honourable Yekini Akinolu has extended warm greetings to all Nigerians, urging citizens to remain steadfast in unity, peace, and nation-building.
In his goodwill message, Akinolu congratulated the government and people of Nigeria for sustaining democracy and resilience despite challenges, noting that Independence Day is a time for reflection and renewed commitment to national progress.
He encouraged Nigerians to uphold the values of patriotism, hard work, and tolerance, while calling on leaders at all levels to prioritize policies that promote development, security, and the welfare of the people. He expressed optimism that with collective effort, Nigeria will overcome present hurdles and achieve her full potential as a leading nation in Africa and the world.
“On this Independence Day, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating our history, our culture, and our strength as a people. Together, we shall build a greater Nigeria,” he said. He wishes every Nigerian a happy and peaceful Independence Day celebration. Today, as Nigeria celebrates it's 65th anniversary, the atmosphere is filled with joy and reflection.
He commends citizens for remaining lawful and not disheartened, alongside the government for making considerable plans towards the better development of Nigeria. It calls us not only to only celebrate, but to reflect. What are we doing today to honor the gift of freedom? How are we building the nation that those heroes envisioned.
Akinolu commended that Independence means more than the lowering of one flag and the raising of another. It means the right to determine our own future, to uphold our values, and to shape a society where every citizen has dignity, equality, and hope. He concluded his message by emphasizing that Independence is not complete until every child has access to education, every parent have jobs, every family feels safe, and until every voice is heard.
