Exposing The Desperate Smear Campaign Against Bisi Yusuff

The moment a man stands still, a pesky mosquito finds his nose an easy target and a point of distraction. While the shallow article in question hardly warrants a response, the curiosity of the unsuspecting public makes it necessary. The so-called Alimosho Future Leaders have chosen to twist reality, but their flimsy arguments crumble under the weight of undeniable facts.

Hon. Bisi Abdurrahman Yusuff is not just a politician; he is a grassroots mobilizer whose influence in Alimosho spans decades. He cut his political teeth within Alimosho, navigating the terrain long before his detractors found their footing. His major contemporary rose to the position of political leader in Alimosho not because Bisi Yusuff was any less qualified, but because he prioritized unity over personal ambition. Unlike the self-serving political merchants attempting to rewrite history, Bisi Yusuff chose peace, stability, and collective progress. His acceptance of his ally as leader compelled others to do the same, fostering unity in Alimosho.

The laughable claim that Bisi Yusuf lacks political relevance because he has no councillor under his direct control is a blatant abuse of logic and a reckless disregard for loyalty. Those who peddle this narrative conveniently ignore the fact that the so-called leader of Alimosho, Abdullahi Enilolobo, only wields influence today because of his connection to Bisi Yusuff’s political ally, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. While Bisi Yusuff could have opposed Enilolobo’s rise, he instead extended his loyalty to his friend’s godson. If Enilolobo had any integrity, he would acknowledge this debt instead of sponsoring baseless propaganda.

Beyond loyalty, Hon. Bisi Yusuf’s political pedigree is unquestionable. He has served as an Executive Secretary, a two-term Local Government Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, and a three-term lawmaker in the Lagos State House of Assembly. If these credentials do not qualify him for leadership, then what does? His experience dwarfs that of those who now seek to downplay his contributions while propping up Enilolobo, a man whose rise was engineered through manipulation rather than merit.

It is worth clarifying that Enilolobo only enjoyed what he considers leadership simply because prominent, selfless individuals like Bisi Yusuff succumbed to his leadership. Without their support, no one would acknowledge his so-called position. It is always laughable how he claims to control the party structure despite never having contested any election or held any political office. Perhaps, in his delusion, he sees himself as the thousands of people who truly make up the party structure. But the truth remains: without the backing of those who genuinely matter, his so-called influence crumbles, just as he is experiencing today.

The assertion that Bisi Yusuff is unpopular in Alimosho is as ridiculous as it is dishonest. If popularity were the sole determinant of leadership, then why was the so-called leader of Alimosho deemed unfit by the President, who personally named Bisi Yusuff as the new Apex Leader? The answer is simple: leadership is not about propaganda, but about capacity, integrity, and years of meritorious service. Had Enilolobo led Alimosho well, there would have been no need for his replacement.

While Bisi Yusuff has served diligently and left office without a dent on his reputation, those attacking him cannot say the same about their so-called leader. In an era where many political figures are tainted by corruption, Bisi Yusuff’s track record remains spotless. That is the highest level of morality and accountability.

The attempt to malign his associates by referencing Ejigbadero is another desperate ploy that exposes the intellectual laziness of his detractors. If political figures are to be judged by mere name association, then perhaps we should also Google Enilolobo and see what the internet has to say about him and his dubious dealings. The hypocrisy is glaring. It is also important to emphasize that Alhaji Abiodun Isola Ejigbadero has no criminal record and is a man of great moral standing. This attack on him is just one of many, fueled by fear - fear of his rising profile, his growing popularity, and his unmatched generosity and political influence that extend far beyond Alimosho.

Finally, the suggestion that Bisi Yusuff is only surrounded by his family, domestic workers, and a few supporters is a pathetic attempt to diminish his influence. Just like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bisi Yusuf is a family man who integrates his loved ones into his political journey. That is not a weakness - it is a testament to his values. Only a person with integrity and reputation will do same. Despite his influence and opportunities to do so, Bisi Yusuff never diverted what belongs to the people to his family and never took undue advantage of his office or influence.

The truth remains: Hon. Bisi Yusuff was not self-imposed but appointed through divine providence and the wisdom of the President. His leadership is not up for debate among disgruntled elements trying to clutch at straws. The smear campaign against him is dead on arrival, and no amount of online propaganda can erase his decades of service and contributions to Alimosho.
